Decayed Wellingtonia Felled To Ground Level

We were called out to a storm damaged mature Wellingtonia in Bedford. A resistograph test was carried out to assess the amount of decay and rot in the remaining trunk.
Unfortunately in this particular case there was significant decay throughout the centre and there was no other option but to fell the tree.
After hours of cutting and shovelling saw dust and gulping tea the job was finished and tidied and the customer was very happy.
